Feeling "Under the Clock"?
Natural Support for Your Due Date.
The final weeks of pregnancy are a whirlwind. Between the excitement of meeting your baby and the physical strain of carrying full-term weight, there is often a mounting pressure centered around a single date: your due date.
At Nature Heals, we see many women who feel “under the clock,” especially when hospital induction is mentioned as an impending necessity. Our acupuncture induction of labour sessions are designed to take the pressure off. We focus on gently nudging the body into its natural birthing rhythm, helping you feel calm, prepared, and in control.

How Acupuncture Encourages Labour
- ✔ Oxytocin Boost: We target specific points known to stimulate the release of oxytocin, the "love hormone" responsible for contractions.
- ✔ Nervous System Reset: Shifting your body from "stress mode" to "birth mode" allows natural hormones to take over.
- ✔ Cervical Ripening: Treatment helps soften and ripen the cervix, preparing the pelvis for an efficient birth.
- ✔ Optimal Positioning: We use gentle techniques, including moxibustion, to help the baby move into the best head-down position.
Your Journey to Birth: When to Start?
Led by Karla Perentin, with over 20 years of expertise across our London clinics.
Pre-Birth Prep (Week 36+)
A weekly "prep" session to align the pelvis and ripen the cervix. This builds momentum for a smoother, faster labour and reduces the need for medical intervention.
Active Induction (Overdue)
More intensive sessions for those past their due date or facing medical induction. We focus heavily on calming the mind and stimulating active labour signals.
The Science of Spontaneous Labour
"Clinical research (Betts & Lennox, 2006) has shown that women receiving pre-birth acupuncture experience a 35% reduction in medical inductions and a 32% reduction in emergency caesareans."
At Nature Heals, we combine this evidence with 20 years of hands-on experience to help you achieve the birth experience you're hoping for naturally.

Is acupuncture induction safe for my baby?
Absolutely. When performed by a specialist like Karla Perentin, acupuncture is a safe, non-invasive way to support late-stage pregnancy without the side effects of pharmaceutical induction.
How many sessions will I need?
For pre-birth prep, we recommend once a week from week 36. For overdue induction, we usually suggest 2-4 sessions in close succession to build the necessary hormonal momentum.
Can I have this at your Marylebone clinic?
Yes! We offer acupuncture in Marylebone (Wimpole Street) on Mondays and Fridays. It is also available in Southfields and Notting Hill throughout the week.
