What is Cupping Therapy?
Cupping is an ancient healing method where specialised cups are placed on the skin to create suction. This "negative pressure" lifts the muscle tissue, breaking up stagnation, boosting blood flow, and encouraging the lymphatic system to clear out toxins.
At Nature Heals, we use it to "unstick" tight fascia and provide instant relief for chronic pain.
The Science of Suction
Unlike traditional massage which compresses the muscles, Cupping uses suction to decompress them. This creates space between your skin, fascia, and muscle layers.
By lifting the tissue, we draw fresh, oxygen-rich blood into areas that have been stagnant or painful for years. It’s a powerful way to signal your body to start its own natural repair process immediately.

Why Londoners Choose Cupping
Back & Neck Pain
Specifically targeted for "tech neck" and the deep spinal stiffness caused by long hours at a London desk.
Emotional Detox
We hold stress in our tissues. Cupping sedates the nervous system, helping to release trapped anxiety and tension.
Tone & Smooth
Improve skin texture and soften the appearance of cellulite by drawing fresh, oxygenated blood to the surface.
De-Puff & Detox
Feeling heavy or sluggish? We stimulate lymphatic drainage to shift excess fluid and support your body’s natural detox.
Fertility Support
By clearing stagnation in the lower back and sacrum, we help improve the vital flow of blood to the reproductive organs.
Rapid Recovery
Flush out metabolic waste and lactic acid after exercise, reducing soreness and improving muscle flexibility.
Your Session
1. Consultation
We discuss your health history and focus on your specific areas of pain or tension.
2. Application
During the acupuncture session, cups are placed strategically. You’ll feel a warm, tight pulling sensation-most clients find it very relaxing.
3. Release
Cups remain for ~10 minutes. We may also use "sliding cupping" to massage the deeper fascia.
Common Questions
Will it leave marks? Yes, cupping often leaves circular marks. These are not bruises; they are "sha" (stagnation) rising to the surface. They usually fade within 3 to 7 days.
Does it hurt? Not at all. Most people describe it as a "good stretch" from the inside out. Many of our clients actually fall asleep during the session!
Can I combine it with Acupuncture? Absolutely. It is a fantastic 10-minute add-on to any acupuncture treatment for a more comprehensive recovery.
